EDU, Inc. hosted G.A.M.E. Initiative with the Charlotte Bobcats

EDU, Inc. launched the Getting African American Males Educated (G.A.M.E.) initiative in conjunction with the Charlotte Bobcats Organization this past NBA season. Students from Charlotte high schools selected by their guidance counselors heard presentations from various black male professionals, met and were photographed with Charlotte Bobcats players, completed the EDU, Inc. Common Black College Application and watched the Charlotte Bobcats vs Portland Trail Blazers basketball game.

The mission of the G.A.M.E. initiative is to foster a sense of community, self awareness, and the importance of education among African-American males. Mentors from various walks of life are partnered with the students during the G.A.M.E. events to help accomplish this all important mission.

The success of the G.A.M.E. initiative has led to the scheduling of seven events with the following NBA teams. The dates will be determined once the 2007-2008 NBA scheduled has been released.
